Quick update! One lovely Bristol eve, me and my buddies Mouse, Marty and Frosty hit the pubs for some dinner and pints. It was a lovely night! Laughs, cool breeze, delicious pints and friends. It felt like something great was brewing. Little did we know Frosty's partner in crime and my favourite sister Renee was on her way to hospital. Like the bloody trooper she is, without fuss and fancy frills she delivered our beautiful nephew into the world! As I walked into my room I saw my phone was lit up with the picture of a smoodgy faced little, what was it? Was that a baby?! It's a baby!!! Mouse! Mouse! They've had a baby! We hugged and jumped and laughed at his funny little smoodge face. So hello to my little man Dominik! We can't wait to meet you in person and I hope you're enjoying our stories xxx seeya soon!
How were we going to spend our time after Iceland? Would anything compare? Well maybe Wales was the new Iceland just like Iceland was the new New Zealand. There was only one way to find out! We packed up our things, hired a tiny car and headed off on a road trip with Mouse and Marty. Five seconds in we almost burn the car down by charging the GPS into the still working cigarette lighter.
Off we go! We made it up to Snowdonia in the north of Wales. A beautiful national park with narrow, winding roads, grey stone buildings and cosy little pubs. We scored ourselves a cute cottage in a quiet town to set up base. In this cutie little cottage we did amazing things like drink beer, sit by the fire, watch the stars, and let ourselves be entertained by such classics as Dune and Hot Shots. Now we know why they are classics...
Wales was so relaxing and green and looked like a typical UK landscape to us. The weather was also putting it on just for us! Beautiful sunny days and clear sparkly nights. One lovely, sunny day we climbed an old castle ruin and looked over the lush green valley dotted with fluffy, puff ball sheep. We went to the coast and enjoyed a pub lunch (I had bangers and mash!) before watching the sun set over the ocean. Mouse and I were in romance heaven. Arm in arm we strolled through the streets.

We had another beach side experience that was really memorable for me. It was a classic pebbly beach with big grey pebbles. While we were enjoying the view a tiny wave rolled in and out again. As it rolled out it moved the pebbles making them click, pop and clink together. Great story! You really have to be there but I wasn't expecting it and it was really cool.
On the Sunday we enjoyed a jovial pub roast and perused some cute little shops in town. Ahhh what a much needed relaxing weekend away...... :)
Short and sweet!! Next stop into the arms of Rowan, Ella and Al!
I just realised there are no photos of Frosty. He was with us I swear!
